子どものオンライン英会話のススメ1️⃣の方でGSAを始めた我が家の活用法をご紹介しました💻具体的にどんなレッスンを受けてきて、半年でどのように英語力が伸びたかのお話をしたいと思います⭐️
娘は5歳でGSAを始めたのですが、主に受講していたレッスンはELA-Advancedというフォニックスやライティングを英語で教えてくれるクラスとStory timeという絵本を先生と読むクラスを4ヶ月間メインに受講し、後の2ヶ月はSpeaking and Listening Bootcampという何も教材がなくただただ先生と自由に英会話をするクラスも交えた3クラスをその時の気分で受けていました。
Advancedの教材は、レッスンの時に先生が画面で提示し、子どもの見る画面は半分先生、半分テキストのような形でそれを見たり、読んだり、時にスクリーンに文字を書いたり丸を書いたりしながら進むのでタッチペンがあると便利です。毎回授業内容の復習となるような宿題が出されるのですが、それはネット上から親がダウンロード、プリントして使う形になります。⬇️宿題もこの程度なので5分ほどで終わりますし、フォニックスを意識して読みながら書いていくと定着が早かったです⭐️
Story timeは娘はUnit2のレベルの本を読んでいたのでこんなラインナップです⬇️
このレッスンの時はほぼフルスクリーンに絵本の画面が映し出され、先生はワイプのように角に写っているのみでした。本の文字数は大体こんな感じです⬇️（shark wants a friendより引用）
娘はもともと読書が好きなのでこのStory timeが本当に好きでしたね😊このクラスでは宿題は出ません。そして、毎回本を一冊読んだ後に、内容を理解できたかの内容に関するクエッション＆アンサータイムがあります。その様子を見ていると、へ〜本当に分かっているんだ〜と感心したのを覚えています。
Speaking and Listening Bootcampは教材はなく、毎回「今日はthis,that,these,thoseを使ってひたすら話しましょう！」とか「今日は自己紹介、家族の紹介などひたすら身の回りのものを紹介しましょう！」とかなんとなくテーマが設定されながらひたすら話す！というクラスでした。宿題毎回あるわけではありませんが、たまに「次回までに〇〇の絵を描いておいてね、次回のクラスで先生にその絵を説明してね！」というのがありました🎨
そんな感じで楽しく週に1回のレッスンを半年過ごしていると、徐々に図書館から借りてきた洋書の絵本も読めるようになり、簡単な単語は書けるようになり、何よりDWEに登場しない言い回しや英会話にも対応できるようになってきました⭐️
そこでっ！！！！半年前に叶わなかったKide duo Advanceに再挑戦することにしました。
結果は見事に合格でした🙆♀️✨前回と同じ先生に評価していただいたようなのですが、ライティング、リーディングが飛躍的に伸びているとお褒めの言葉をいただくほどでした。私は今回もアメリカ人講師の方の英語によるフィードバックはちんぷんかんぷんで、、娘の成長速度って本当にすごいんだなと痛感しましたw
